Yesterday morning I woke up with a bunch of congratulatory emails for reference and quote us in Women’s Daily. Although I knew that this piece will come out sometime, I had no idea when. We are talking about a nice way to start the week.
About two weeks ago, we had the opportunity to speak to the Daily Women’s accessories business and social participation of the media. Social Media has a crucial, supportive role in purse-Blog our brand as we have an active Twitter and Facebook accounts, which allow us to directly connect with our readers.
Like almost all fashion bloggers, more and more designers and fashion houses have an active presence on Facebook and Twitter. Some of our favorite designers to follow on Twitter including Louis Vuitton, BCBG, DKNY, Tory Burch, Diane von Furstenberg, and Rebecca Minkoff. On Facebook, the most active supporter of the Fashion page belongs to the coach, who worked with us exclusively previewing the upcoming line of Kristin.
Some designers and representatives approached the social media world with terror, but now flocking to join the social media sites to reach out to customers and fans. Just as independent blogging has changed the way information is shared and delivered globally, social media allows large companies to connect with the market. As we continue to see designers and companies are embracing this new era of media, we expect more interaction with client-designer, which is exactly what most are looking for – clients and designers alike.
Overall, the more I look through the eyes of the show, the more I like, but not as much as I did the nasty letter lover glam in the 80s in New York Fall 2009 (or brilliant show from a year ago for that matter). Maybe it’s the colors that I switched off or perhaps the genie pants organza. I appreciate that the models all over the shoes that are either entirely or almost flat, the bags looked like they’d be complicated and fantastic for a closer view, and clothes that grow on me and looking more radiant than a minute . There was an obvious masterpiece, though: the final look of the show. It was a fleeting, effervescent confection of a gown that defied gravity and seemed to have drawn spun air. There was excessive or underdone, but just do enough to demonstrate the skill with which he was attached and the eye in which it was issued. Perfection.
As the collection or not, this dress should be enough to convince anyone that Jacobs is still the king. It’s taking a while for the ideas behind these clothes to settle with me, but the journey from the mind of this master is nothing if not pleasant.
When you’re Marc Jacobs, and your show is basically New York Fashion Week, and everyone expects the next big thing from you, and the world is watching what you do? Why do kabuki clown harlequin ballerina clothes, of course!
Throughout the sculpture-yet-feminine presentation, there were nods to Japanese culture, Comme des Gar ons 莽 and their own creative collection Jacobs “grunge at Perry Ellis, among a slew of other things. We RUFFLES galore, many layering ( as should be expected to Jacobs), underwear-as-outwear (also not the first time we’ve seen that from Jacobs, and it reminded me a bit of Christian Dior couture presentation for the current year), and pastel than I can not remember the Fashion Week in … well, ever. I hate pastels, but if MJ can make that beautiful steel blue a trend could leave the peach and lavender go.
No review of the spring Marc Jacobs »2010 fashion show would be complete without taking a good look at the accessories featured too – after all, is what we are picking other mercilessly in a few months.
According to a softer color palette of a large collection of MJ, we saw many champagnes, medium and light blues, creams and whites in the collection of accessories. Many of the bags made from colorful leather frames, sometimes in what appeared to be many different textures – I spy definitely a python, at least.
He also filled the signing Jacobs, many of the quilts bring along pins and tassels. I liked the added texture, but it was not my favorite bags of the show – the tassels and laces them looked like tentacles to me. Not a good look.
And the last thing if nothing else, a margin is not over yet, at least not in the mind of Mark. Many of the bags had latticed nearly a foot margin float them in the same colors that made the body of the bag. I feel that it will decline somewhat before the products are shipped to stores, but I do not hate. In fact, quite the opposite – I thought it would be quite appropriate, considering the construction of many of the pieces is left to someone like him make us all take a second look at the margin.
Be & D has an obsession I have with soft lambskin leather. Touch is one of the most important senses, which is important when shopping for handbags. I kid you not Be & D has some of the soft skin I’ve ever felt in my life. I can not even in words how it feels really soft. And the continuity and development that sets the skin to nails on a rocking combo gives you opposite ends of the spectrum works out wonderfully.
I totally dig the Be & D Garbo Studded Leather Baguette, when it recently revised the Be & D Garbo line. The baguette is not just one kind of bread that I love, but it’s also a fun name for the shape of this bag. There is an optional chain strap with a massive 21.5 “drop. And while I usually take off the strap chain strap I liked the chain on this bag. In addition, you can double the chain strap to wear as a purse shoulder, or leave much to wear a bag crossbody, or go chainless and dated as a clutch pedal.
I know some of you are so over the stud trend, but I love it. My attire is usually jeans and a shirt, so a bag full of really dress it all up and add extra pow. Black with gold pyramid studs are the perfect classic combo when it comes to nails. There is a convenient external back zip pocket, that would be ideal for your mobile. The front flap has a magnetic snap, which is extremely strong, so I can assure you that it will not move unless you intend to. I’m in a whole Be & D kick. Want to join me? Buy through Bloomingdale for $ 695.
The fashion world has convened in New York last week for the Spring 2010 show some of our favorite designer labels. While Vlad and I could not make it this year, we stuck to the computer to check out all performances, events, trends, celebs! One of the biggest parts of Fashion Week is about who is who. Bloggers are now given front row seats in some scenes, while the presence celeb remains constant. Of course there are the top fashion editors and journals to participate as well. One of the most notable aspects of the fashion industry has made appearances at Fashion Week, Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue.
What do you think of New York Fashion Week: What show left you wanting more, which shows he adore you?

When that girl grows up, becomes Tamra, and who spent most of the crying party, but a very legitimate reason. Life is soaked, her husband sucks and is finally able to keep both of those facts under the surface now. Simon’s supervision while he dressed, berated during each dress selected, and then threw some bowling trip with her children in her face on the way to the party.
But Tamra surprised. Rather than a preposterous mess when I finally sat in the corner to talk about problems with Vicki (her husband was telling everyone else on the other side of the room how much was it), it was everything that housewives are contractually obliged not to be – self-awareness, contrite, realistic. He realized that Simon used the children against her and his hatred for Vicky was just misplaced anger against the desire for independence, and was able to articulate effectively while sobbing in public. Tamra is a smart man in disguise? We can give her own show to learn?
In the end, however, that was what happened. Nobody else did anything interesting. Gretchen and Slade is not engage, Vicki and Donn improbably still the sanest couple on the show, and Alex and Alpha Douche Jim is still the worst advertising ever to Christianity. Hopefully for all of organized religion. I hope that it will resume some sort of missionary cause in a third world country and we never, ever see them again.
It was the end of an era (an era?) In Orange County, and not one minute too soon. Just two moderately interesting things happened at the party made the whole episode: first, Tamra had a screaming match with Simon in a limousine before the end-of-season get together and told him she wanted a divorce. Not exactly a surprise, since we already knew that Simon had filed for divorce. Stupid TV lead times, destroy all the surprises! Secondly, the aforementioned hot daughters Lynne appeared wrought havoc.
Let’s talk about drunk teenagers first. There was intoxicated when they left the house, took the road in a limousine with these parents, but Lynne says he would do all sneaky-like at the other end of the seat. Right. This simply means that Lynne was high in everything that is everything, and the slow-jawed husband was rather distracted by a shiny object or trying to remember how to spell his own name or something.
They got to the party and the girls went bust in the area as if it were a club underage and pout when her mom would not let them continue to drink. Raquel got irritated and blew that popsicle stand, probably in search of a cheeseburger (I know it’s what I always do after a few cocktails) and then Alexa was a girl. You know the one – who have already drunk, sitting on the sidewalk outside, blubbering on her bag for God knows that when you’re just pulling up the club at 11:00. And then something magical happens, whether real or imagined, and is ready to party again. There’s no explaining it, but one thing is certain: you do. NO. WANT. be a girl. Alexa is going to be that girl for the rest of her life. I blame Lynne. Lynne does not seem too concerned about any of these, but again, it’s hard to say after the facelift.

I point to share with our readers since last September. As with many other things, the bad habit of procrastination came in the middle … my way, I guess. But today, it just feels right.
I must confess to ignorance, because before last September, did not know this wonderful French documentary. The title is clearly Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton offers the viewer relevant knowledge about the influence of fashion genius that is Marc Jacobs. The setting is a time just before Louis Vuitton Spring Fashion Show, 2007.
The 80 + minute documentary is a must-see for anyone who has even the slightest interest in Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and fashion in general. You can learn about what leads to Marc, the tedious process of designing a whole collection as creative director Louis Vuitton and fashion business in general.
Fortunately, the DVD is pieced in relation to Youtube for your viewing pleasure momentarily into 9 parts. While it is readily available on YT, I urge you also order your own copy from Amazon though, because a. you’ll get much better quality and b. does not rob their authors deserved sales. It is a non-brainer, really.
While you wait for the DVD to ship, here are direct links with nine points on YouTube. Enjoy and we would like to hear your comments below!
Kate Moss, designer handbag? That’s what seems to think Longchamp. The longtime face of the French brand has recently debuted a mini-collection by itself under the label, and think of handbags, shows quite an important principle of fashion: not everyone who has great personal style is cut for to the designer.
Of course, it is questionable how much involvement Moss bags were really like Kate Moss for Longchamp Zebra Pony Polonchon Gloste Tote, but in any case, they’re not all that impressive. Not that you’re bad, but almost too devoid of personality, even remarkable, there is a famous name attached. Somehow, even this zebra print looks a bit dull.
I hoped that Moss will bring some new zip to the somewhat staid, traditional bar, but apart from this small number of Leopard, most of the bags is sober duffles leather hobos. They look well executed and more luxurious, but it’s nothing to Longchamp (or any line bag) could not be created without the help supermodel.
Despite the fact that if they had made themselves and just put it in ads, I probably would not speak at all bags. I see what you did there, Longchamp. Order by Luisa Via Roma for $ 1583
